Its been a while but we are still here!! Very busy running our summer camps!! We are getting ready for our BAck to School Edge Champions programs starting July 20th.

CHAMPION’S EWO BACK TO SCHOOL
EDGE PROGRAM
The Champions Back to School Edge program is for children who would like to
go back to school with the CHAMPION Edge. Each week students that register for this program will have tasks and
to-do lists given by the instructors. The primary goal is to teach students life
skills and success formulas that students will be able to use and implement when
returning to school in September.
The program will cover the following life skills:
1. Goal Setting- all students will make a vision board of their goals and
dreams.
2. Health Awareness- all students will review how to prevent diabetes.
3. Reading Assignment #1- attitude is everything.
4. Time Management – learn how to manage time.
5. Community Outreach Program – help others with abduction tips.
6. Focus Seminar – learn the three rules of focus.
7. 10 Home Rules for Children
8. Family Week – the importance of family.
9. Share the Art Week – sharing the arts with others.
10.Graduation – celebrate our accomplishments.
1. Week – Goal Setting
a. Goal for home
b. Goal for school
c. Goal for martial arts
d. Life skills goal
e. Vision Board
2. Week - Remembrance Day
a. “Why We Celebrate 4th of July” Report
b. Family Time – please spend tIme with your family
c. Educate 5 people about the 4th of July
3. Week – Time Management
a. Map out all day activities for the remainder of the summer. Please
include all reoccurring tasks and or activities.
b. Make sure to schedule one hour per day of reading.
c. Make sure to schedule one hour per day of fitness.
d. Make sure to schedule 30 minutes per day of thinking.
e. Make sure to schedule one hour per day for family time.
f. Make sure to schedule one hour per day cleaning your room and or
house.
g. Make sure to schedule one hour per week of community service – see
Sensei for group projects in which you can participate.
4. Week – Project Portfolio
a. See the front desk for your portfolio.
b. Blog- with your parents’ permission and supervision, a blog can be
created to track your portfolio.
c. Link your blog to Sensei Nick’s blog.
5. Week – Public Speaking with Sensei Nick
a. Attend Sensei Nick’s public speaking webinar on how he has become
a motivational speaker and success coach and how you can too. If
you are unable to attend the live webinar he will email the recorded
version.
b. Live Role- playing drills at the school on public speaking – how to do
the announcements, warm up a class, do an intro lesson, and meeting
and greeting the students of the school.
5. Week – Health Awareness Week
a. We will hold a free seminar about Diabetes Awareness
b. Attendees will learn from the Instructors “How to.” There will be a free
seminar for a boy or girl scout troop, or other local groups that would
be interested in a free Diabetes Awareness seminar and power point
presentation.
7. Week – The Yes Attitude Personal Growth Week
a. This week all students will read The Yes Attitude
b. On Saturday, there will be a book review and open discussion of the
book.
8. Week – Motivational Quote Collage
a. All students this week will make a collage of motivational quotes.
b. The most creative will be featured on the website.
c. The collages will be posted on the walls of the school.
d. Students will send quotes to the school blog.
e. The Saturday Workshop will be a 45-minute session discussing
highlighted quotes selected by the instructor.
9. Week – Confidence week
a. This week there will be a discussion on back to school clothes
shopping, hygiene and appearance.
b. The student’s goal will be to go to the mall with their parents and pick
out appropriate stylish clothes for the new school year.
c. The students will be encouraged to get a fresh haircut.
10. Week – Graduation Week
a. There will be a Graduation party on Friday – from 5:30 to 6:30
pm at the school.
